Balvenie Doublewood 17 Year is produced using the “wood finishing” process. Once the whisky has spent its time in American oak barrels, it is then finished in European ex-sherry barrels. The result is a premium quality whisky that is complex in its range of flavors and rich with a variety of aromas! The nose is introduced to deep oak aromas with some cutting edge vanilla sweetness and a touch of natural honey. The palate reaches a new depth of flavor with sweet dried fruits, a smooth and creamy mouthfeel, a touch of oak and sherry spice with cinnamon, and a lingering peppery sensation.
